MotoXRiders/Team Jesus Racing Service and Racing

Well, we had our first chapel service! We had over 30 people of all ages in attendance at our first service Saturday night at Speedworld. MotoXriders and Team Jesus Racing would like to thank everyone for coming out. We really appreciate your time and we hope everyone enjoyed it. Congradulations to our 2 raffle winners; your smiles, made our night! We look forward to seeing an even larger attendance at our next service. We will keep everyone informed of our next service (we are hoping to do the Sunday races for the AMX State Championship series).

Team Jesus Racing had its ups and downs Saturday night at the AMX “Beat the Heat Series”. On the up side Ryan Mortensen won the 250 Pro overall riding his dad’s 03 YZ450 (thanks dad). On the down side, Ryan crashed on the first lap of the 125 Pro race and finished a distant last! Second moto, he finished a decent 3rd. Britanie Lopez, on her #4 Suzuki had a tough night going down a few times injuring her hand. Get better Britanie! Chelsey Nunes, #187 on the Yamaha, was looking fast in the 80 Beginner, division A. Chelsey appeared to have the speed to win but had some crashes and finished 5th overall. Carrie Anne Killebrew looked to be picking up the pace in the 50cc class. “That is the fastest I have ever seen her ride” said her dad Kyle. Kyle didn’t have too good of night. His KTM 200 is getting new cases, so he barrowed a CRF450. Kyle only made it through practice and found that the bike was not running well. Then after further investigation, he found that the frame was cracked. So Kyle decided to sit this one out. Team Jesus rider Matt Horton was also in attendance, but is still waiting for his collar bone to get all healed up. Matt was all over the pits sporting his new Team Jesus shirt. It was cool to see everyone there in their Team Jesus shirts.

On the up side, we had 2 more riders take applications to join the team! We keep growing every week, it is awesome!
