Team Jesus at SW and ET!!!

Another race completed in the AMX "Beat the Heat" series. Team Jesus Racing had 2 racers competing at Speedworld this Saturday night. The track was great with a few more technical sections added. In the 250 Pro class there were 7 riders signed up. That was the most of this series thus far. One of the seven was up and coming local pro Chris Blose. When the gate dropped for moto one, Blose was quick to get out front with Tyler Johnson in 2nd, Team Jesus rider Ryan Mortensen in 3rd, and Nathan Rivera in 4th. Early in the race Tyler's front tire slides out and he goes down. Now Mortensen and Rivera are battling for 2nd. Rivera gets around Mortensen, but Mortensen gets him right back with the power of the 450. Then Rivera goes down giving #134, Chuck Jones 3rd. Moto 1 finish: 1st Blose, 2nd Mortensen., 3rd Chuck Jones.

Moto 2 of the 250 Pro, Team Jesus rider Ryan Mortensen pulls the holeshot, but is passed 2 turns later by Chris Blose. Rivera is running 3rd and Tyler Johnson is right behind him in 4th. On lap 4, the field looked to be spread out with Blose out front, Mortensen a close second, with Rivera and Johnson a few seconds back in 3rd and 4th. Then Mortensen goes down, moving everyone up a spot. As Mortensen tries to get back going he gets his bike stuck in a mud hole on the side of the track and has to wait for assistance. Blose takes the easy win.

In the 125 Pro, it was Blose again running 1-1 in his motos, with Ryan Wilson keeping him in check both motos finishing 2-2. Paul Pearcy and Ryan Mortensen battled in both motos, making last lap passes with Pearcy taking the second moto going 4-3 and Mortensen finishing 4th overall with a 3-4.

Carrie Anne Killebrew was on a new KTM SX Pro and put in 2 awesome motos. The power of the new bike looked to catch her off-guard, but look for Carrie Anne to be improving as she gets use to her new bike. At ET Motopark, Team Jesus Racing was well represented with 4 team members riding their best to bring glory to God. Chelsey Nunes looked to have a win on her way until she made a slight mistake and placed 3rd overall for the night in the 80 beginner class. Britanie Lopez had a good night finishing 4th in the 125 Beginner and 2nd in the Women's. Matt Horton looks to be all healed up from his collarbone injury, finishing 10th in the 125 Novice and 7th in the Schoolboy class. Dustin Ostrander was looking good as he is getting back into racing in the 125 Beginner class.

Way to go TEAM JESUS RACING!

Team Jesus Racing would like to thank God for riding with us this weekend and bringing everyone home safe.
